Omnichannel Lead Management Platform
A multi-channel messaging platform that automates customer answers and manages sales leads.
One secure platform for discovering, booking, and managing shared university resources.
ResourceHive helps university departments and clubs share resources such as study rooms, lab equipment, project tools, and learning materials. Students can check availability, make bookings, and receive updates in one place. Each organization manages its own members and resources, while approvals, points, and return tracking help keep sharing fair and accountable.
Finding a free room or a piece of equipment should be simple. Instead, students often have to ask around, search through old messages, or check an outdated spreadsheet. This leads to wasted resources, double bookings, and no clear record of who borrowed what.
ResourceHive brings shared resources into one place. Students can find what they need, check when it is available, book it, and receive updates. Departments and clubs can manage their own resources, members, approvals, and bookings without relying on spreadsheets or chat messages.
Universities already have many useful resources, but finding and sharing them is often harder than it should be. A study room may be empty, a project tool may be sitting unused, or a piece of lab equipment may be available in another department. Students usually have no simple way to discover these resources or request access to them.
ResourceHive solves this by giving university departments and clubs one place to list and manage what they have. Students can browse resources, check availability, make bookings, confirm returns, and receive notifications when something changes. A points system encourages fair use, while approval and return records make it clear who is responsible for each resource.
Each department or club operates as its own organization inside ResourceHive. It can manage its members, resources, and bookings without exposing private information to other organizations. Authentication, roles, and organization-level permissions make sure users only access the information and actions available to them.
Behind the scenes, ResourceHive uses a Next.js frontend and four NestJS services for identity, resources, bookings, and notifications. PostgreSQL stores the data, Prisma manages the database, and Socket.IO provides live updates. The booking system also checks for scheduling conflicts so the same resource cannot be reserved by multiple people at the same time.
The frontend is hosted on Vercel. The backend runs in Docker containers on Linode, with Caddy handling incoming API traffic and HTTPS. The PostgreSQL database is hosted on Neon. GitHub Actions tests the project, builds the backend images, runs database migrations, and deploys new releases automatically.
In the future, ResourceHive could support calendar integrations, mobile apps, deeper usage reports, and recommendations that help students discover useful resources across their university.
